Game Notes: The Red Sox welcome Oakland and Kansas City to the friendly confines of Fenway Park for seven games to kick off the second half. Could this be just what the doctor ordered to extend our AL East lead to, say, five games? The A’s, while they are in first place and happen to be my pick to win that division, are struggling lately. The Red Sox do not struggle at Fenway Park. I’m expecting 6 wins out of the next 7 games, maybe 5. And nothing less.
