GAME NOTES: I haven’t tuned in, but I’m sure EEI is going crazy about Wily Mo Pena’s misplay last night. It was a lousy play, sure, but there were runners on the corners with no one out. Even if Pena makes that catch and the runner doesn’t tag, chances are that run comes home; better chance that it would have scored on the same play anyway. The blame in this game should go, if anywhere, to the offense – putting up 2 runs won’t cut it in the vast majority of games. Bonderman’s tough, but he’s beatable.
I wish I could say the same for the guy going tonight.
