…on Friday night over the Pirates…pretty much says it all. Claudio Vargas was “on”–0 ER over 6 IP (Matt Wise, Derrick Turnbow, and Francisco Cordero each pitched a scoreless inning in relief)…Vargas also hit a double to help his cause. J.J. Hardy paced the offense (again)–4-for-5, 3 RBI’s, 2 runs, including his 7th homer of the year, plus extending his hitting streak to 15 games.
Prince Fielder also drove in four…all in all a good outing that reminds fans of the ’87 Brewers.
