Greg Holland, RP, St. Louis Cardinals

After signing a $14 million deal in April to take over the ninth inning for St. Louis, it’s taken right-hander Greg Holland just 11.2 innings to accumulate -0.3 fWAR and lose the closer job. His walk rate (21.7%) and strikeout rate (13.3%) are also so bad that they look like they’re backwards.

Holland’s four-seam fastball is his second-most used pitch so far in 2018. That offering has produced a 31.3% walk rate, 0.0% strikeout rate, and a 184 wRC+ from opposing hitters.
