2010 MMA Manifesto Pick ‘Em Contest Final Standings

After much number crunching (thank God for that economics degree!) we have determined the 2010 grand prize winners of The MMA Manifesto’s Pick ‘Em Contest.  Over the course of this year’s 31 contests, and 197 contestants who entered more than one contest, these five (actually six) men stood above the crowd.

First, a round of applause for our sponsors – Form Athletics, who help save the contest when the previous sponsor bailed midway through it; Jakks Pacific and Anchor Bay Entertainment who provided great monthly prizes; and FIGHT! magazine, the best MMA magazine on the planet (because I write for it, naturally) for providing subscriptions to two contestants.

And, last but not least, thanks to all of you for supporting the website and the contest.  Without the great, loyal visitors and contestants the contest wouldn’t have gotten off the ground.  Expect big things in 2011, when we kick off another Pick ‘Em season.

Without further ado, our top five grand prize winners:

Fifth Place: Michael S and S. Lynch (139 points) who win a shirt from Form Athletics.

Fourth Place: Barry Oh (141 points) who wins a shirt from Form Athletics and a UFC action figure from Jakks Pacific.

Third Place: Chase K (145 points) who wins a shirt from Form Athletics and a FIGHT! magazine subscription.

Second Place: Sheong K (146 points) who wins a shirt from Form Athletics; Forrest Griffin, The Author prize pack (copies of both of Forrest’s books) and a UFC DVD/Blu-ray from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

The 2010 MMA Manifesto Pick ‘Em Champion of the World is Dave H (149 points) who wins the MMA Manifesto Pick ‘Em Contest championship belt (looks suspiciously like the replica UFC championship belt from Jakks Pacific), a shirt from Form Athletics, a UFC DVD/Blu-ray collection (UFC 114, UFC Ultimate Submissions & UFC Ultimate Heavyweights) from Anchor Bay Entertainment, a UFC action figure from Jakks Pacific and, most importantly, love, admiration and respect from his peers.

See you all in 2011!
