Offense
The Bills offense is somewhat better than you would expect it to be. Ryan Fitzpatrick has actually developed into a decent NFL quarterback. Stevie Johnson is really his only target in the passing game with Lee Evans departing for Baltimore. Fred Jackson is a solid all-around back. The Bills need to get CJ Spiller more touches if they want him to be as explosive as advertised. He isn’t going to break games open with less than 10 touches per game.
Defense
The Bills are moving in the right direction towards shoring up their defense, which was dead last in the league against the run last year. They parted ways with failed first round pick Aaron Maybin and picked DT Marcel Dareus from Alabama with the #3 overall pick this year. Their biggest free agent move was signing Shawne “Roid Rage” Merriman to a long-term contract. For the most part, this will be more or less the same defense they fielded last season.

Keystone Light markets itself as being “always smooth” in a similar way the Bills, at least in theory, have players like CJ Spiller and Stevie Johnson with gamebreaking talent. On paper, this sounds good, but when you actually take in some of the product, it’s almost gag-inducing.
