The bowl projections are changing weekly so if you want to check back on what I had for last week you can click here. The biggest change I have in the “BCS” bowls is that I’ve flip flopped on Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. I now have the feeling that the Cowboys will pull out the game which will push Oklahoma down to the Cotton Bowl. These predictions are a combination of where the teams stand today and how I predict they will finish out the season. A lot of the seedings also depend on which “at large” teams are chosen by the BCS Bowls. This week I am still projecting a re-match of LSU and Alabama in the Championship Game. Also, some of the conferences are not projecting to supply their full slate of teams so some replacements were taken that did not have fall back plans in terms of tie-ins (I am projecting the Kraft Fight Hunger, New Mexico and Ticket City bowls to have to select at-large teams to fill their slots). Bowl eligible teams left on the outside looking in based on my projections are Ball State, Eastern Michigan and Western Kentucky. Miami (Fl) announced last week that it would be imposing a self-ban on the post-season for this year and USC is not eligible due to probation. UCLA will finish the season 6-7 because of the Pac-12 Championship Game and will have to apply for a waiver to be included in a bowl game.
