Haven’t heard of this kid yet? No? Where have you been for the past year? Welcome the crown jewel of the Badgers 2012 recruiting class, Bart Houston. Frankly he may be the very best recruit Wisconsin has ever had in it’s program. At this point he’s at least the most highly touted QB coming out of High School to ever commit to the Badgers and has really been a godsend behind the scenes with this class, making calls to other kids and helping to keep people from possibly leaving where he could.

Quick Thoughts:
– He reminds me so, so much of how Russell Wilson looked coming out of high school, only much taller and maybe a touch slower, but the touch, accuracy, and ability to move the pocket is crazy. Ask him to throw a fade, check. Can he throw a skinny post? Check. You get the idea, he’s got that “it” factor as well and baring something crazy I just don’t see Wisconsin missing on this high caliber of a QB and tape doesn’t lie either.
– Only question is if he’s ready to step up in the level of play to be “the guy” from day 1. Just the little we’ve heard from him I have no doubt, he’s a natural born leader and a guy that’s been working to foster great relationships with all the guys in the 2012 class throughout his time since committing to the Badgers.
– I’m just not quite ready to say he’s your 2012 starting QB, but if we aren’t seeing increased production from the crop of unknowns at QB in Spring this job is wide open for him to take come fall camp.
