He was the 1st offensive lineman to commit to Wisconsin and is 1 of 3 players already on campus.  He’s also the best offensive lineman, in terms of rankings, that the Badgers officially have a commitment from, so let’s take a look at Voltz.

Profile

Position: Offensive Line

Height: 6’4″

Weight: 285lbs.

Hometown/High School: Barrington, IL/ Barrington HS

Rankings:

247sports: 4* #54 – nation, #2 – Guard, #1 – state

ESPNRN: 4* #19 – OT, #15 – regional, #3 – state

Rivals: 4* #153 – nation, #8 – Guard, #2 – state

Scout: 4* #7 – Guard

Quick Thoughts:

– Clearly the “class of the class” along with Bart Houston.

– He’s played all over the offensive line, but I think he fits best as either a guard or center at the collegiate level.

– Could be best offensive lineman we’ve recruited since Joe Thomas out of high school.  He plays with technique that most graduate college with already and could be in the mix for a starting spot this season.
