2012 UConn Football Spring Game Will Be Broadcast Live on SNY

Here’s the release from SNY and UConn about the UConn Huskies football spring game being broadcast live on SNY on April 21st.

NEW YORK – SNY, the official television home of the UConn Huskies football and men’s basketball programs, announced on Tuesday that it will televise the University of Connecticut’s Blue vs. White Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 21 live at 1:00 p.m. from Rentschler Field. The Blue-White Spring Football Game represents the conclusion of UConn’s annual spring football practice and will be played in the standard four quarter format.

UConn on SNYSNY will re-air the game for fans that missed it on Sunday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a re-airing on SNY only in Connecticut on Monday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. The Blue-White Spring Football Game is presented by DiGiorgi Roofing and Siding.

On air talent for the Blue-White Spring Football Game will feature SNY’s current UConn and BIG EAST football analyst Sean Mulcahy – a former UConn football captain who was a star on the defensive line for the Huskies from 2000-2003, and play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. Burkhardt is SNY’s on-field reporter for New York Mets games and is also the current play-by-play radio voice of the Dallas Cowboys on national radio. SNY will also deploy two sideline reporters for the game, including the network’s anchors Michelle Yu and Jeané Coakley, who also serves as SNY’s NFL Jets reporter.
