Ronda Rousey armbars Miesha Tate
Strikeforce: Tate vs Rousey
March 3, 2012

It was destined to end this way – all four of Ronda Jean Rousey's previous pro MMA fights (and all three of her amateur ones) had ended like that.  But Miesha Tate was game, and wasn't willing to let The Rowdy One defeat her via armbar without a ferocious fight first.  So the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion had her arm stretched and contorted to humanly impossible angles, making all the world cringe in unison.  But it was all in vain – after all, you can't mess with destiny.

Others receiving votes:

Charles Oliveira reverse calf slicer versus Eric Wisely – UFC on Fox: Evans vs Davis

TJ Waldburger armbarring Jake Hecht – UFC on FX: Alves vs Kampmann

Past Winners:

2011: Richard Hale chokes out Nik Fekete
2010: Fabricio Werdum taps Fedor
2009: Toby Imada's standing inverted triangle versus Jorge Masvidal

Next up: Knockout of the Year
