The X Factor:

Andre Drummond

Outside of Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond could have the most potential of any player in last June’s draft class.  Whether or not he can put it all together – the mental and the physical – will determine how long the Pistons will remain NBA bottom feeders.  He doesn’t need to dominate this season – this Pistons team isn’t built to win this year anyways – but he at least has to show that he “gets it”.

Summary:

It’s going to be another looooooong season for Pistons fans.  The good news is if you are going to be bad, it is best to be bad and young, and the Pistons are young – only two out of the 10 players listed on Detroit’s depth chart above are over 30.  If the young players on the roster can continue to show progress and flashes of greatness, brighter days could be on the way to Motown.
