Last year, the Atlanta Hawks finished the season with a record of 44-38. That’s pretty good. Over the offseason though, their best player Josh Smith signed with the Pistons. They did sign Paul Millsap though, so Smith‘s absence shouldn’t hurt the Hawks too much.

A Player That Hawks Fans Need To Look Out For This Season:

  • Paul MillsapPaul Millsap is a six foot eight power forward out of Louisiana Tech. The Hawks signed him to a two year deal over the offseason. The fact that they signed him makes a lot of sense to me, because their power forward from last season, Josh Smith, had signed with the Pistons just a few hours before the Hawks signed Millsap. Millsap averaged 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game with the Utah Jazz last year. That’s pretty good; he is a very solid player. The reason that Hawks fans need to look out for him is that he is expected to be as good, if not better than Josh Smith was with the Hawks. Millsap needs to do well for this Hawks team this year.

2013-14 Hawks Season Prediction: 45-37: I think that the Hawks are a good team. They are stacked with quality players, including Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Dennis Schroeder and Kyle Korver, and that is why I am predicting that they will have such a good season this year.
