2013-14 Los Angeles Clippers Season Preview

SeahawksMinicamp

Last year, the Los Angeles Clippers finished the season with a record of 56-26. That is very good, obviously. The Clippers were involved in a pretty big trade over the offseason, in which they sent Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler to Pheonix in exchange for Jared Dudley and two future second round picks. They also hired a new coach over the offseason, Doc Rivers. Rivers was the coach of the Celtics for nine years. It will be interesting to see what he can do with this extremely talented Clippers team this season.

Clippers 2013-14 MVP Prediction: Chris Paul: Chris Paul is a six foot tall point guard out of Wake Forest. This season will be his ninth in the NBA. Last year with the Clippers, Paul averaged 16.9 points, 9.7 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. He is so good at setting his teammates up with nice looks. He can also score a ton of points when he needs to. I would argue that he is the best point guard in the league. That is why I think that he will be the best player on the Clippers this season.

A Player That Clippers Fans Need To Look Out For This Season:

  • Jared Dudley: The Clippers acquired Jared Dudley over the offseason, in a trade in which they gave up Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe is a very talented shooting guard, and I feel like the Clippers gave him up too easily. This makes my expectations for Jared Dudley very high, because the Clippers must know something about him that I don’t.

2013-14 Clippers Season Prediction: 57-25: I am predicting that the Clippers will win one more game this season than they did last year because I feel like they haven’t changed too much. They still have their core players and they are still young. They are obviously a great team, and have a few talented players, like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
