2013-14 Memphis Grizzlies Season Preview

Last year, the Grizzlies finished with a 56-26 record. That’s really good. The Grizzlies are a very young team, that is still on the rise. I love this Grizzlies team, they are very talented and are still very young. They definitely have a promising future.

Grizzlies 2013-14 MVP Prediction: Mike Conley: Mike Conley is a six foot one point guard out of “the” Ohio State University. Last year, he averaged 14.6 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game; that’s tremendous. He can do a lot of really good things, like pass and shoot. Another thing I like about him is that he is being this effective at age 25; this means that he is still on the rise, and that he is only getting started. He has a lot of guys to assist to, like Tayshaun Prince, Marc Gasol, and Zach Randolph. For young players, it is important that they are surrounded by veterans, and players who can score. I really like Mike Conley as a player, and that’s why I predicted him to be the Grizzlies MVP in 2013-14.

3 Players That Grizzlies Fans Need To Look Out For:

  • Zach Randolph: Zach Randolph is a six foot nine power forward out of Michigan State. Last year, he averaged 15.4 points, and 11.2 rebounds per game. He is an amazing player in this league. He is a very key player to the Grizzlies. The reason that Grizzlies fans need to look out for him is that he is getting old. He is definitely getting up there in age, and people should be looking for regression out of him. The Grizzlies need him to be effective, and if he isn’t then this Grizzlies team is going to be hurting.
  • Mike Conley: Mike Conley is a six foot one point guard out of “the” Ohio State University. He is a tremendous 25 year old point guard for the Grizzlies. The reason that Grizzlies fans need to look out for him is that it would be very bad if he started regressing. A lot of times you see a guy put up great numbers one year, and then the next they do poorly and their career goes into a tailspin. Conley is obviously a very key player to this Grizzlies team, and they need him if they want to be successful.
  • Tony Allen: Tony Allen is a six foot four shooting guard out of Oklahoma State University. He is a defensive specialist, something you don’t often see out of shooting guards, and that’s what makes him so great. He is a very good defensive player, but he is getting up there in age. He is 31 years old, and I highly doubt that he will be as quick as he was last season and years past. The Grizzlies really need his presence on the defensive half of the court, and without him their defense will be in trouble, because there are a lot of good shooting guards out there that need to be contained by a good defender.

2013-14 Grizzlies Season Preview: 57-25: This Grizzlies team is very good, and very young. They have talented young player who have stepped up, and I expect that to continue this season. They have a couple of veterans that are still effective, and they have the youth as well. This Grizzlies team is really good, and I think that they are going to showcase that with a good season this year.
