The second of the two initial bowl games to kick off bowl season, we’ll see two talented offenses, albeit both being very young.
While Utah State is lead by the underclassmen Chuckie Keaton at quarterback, he has plenty of talent (and NFL talent) around him. As for Toledo, they are led by a fantastic junior QB Terrence Owens and a young offense around him, with a solid defense to rely on as well.

Kerwynn Williams, RB, Utah State – #25, 5’8” 198
Williams is an explosive runner that is able to run between the tackles or hit the edge with above average explosiveness. He is able to pick up the blitz in pass pro. Williams has great hands and is a very good route runner and receiver out of the backfield. He has the knack to make big plays once the ball is in his hands. Runs low to the ground with very good vision, quick cut backs, and able to cut and go without losing momentum. (40 sec mark versus Auburn )
Chuck Jacobs, WR, Utah State – #10 6’0 180
Jacobs fits perfectly into the slot position in the NFL. Runs very good routes with sharp cuts and has a knack for finding the holes in the defense. Catches the ball well with his hands and has enough speed to blow the top off the defense. Has the ability to break tackles and get yards after the catch. A compact frame that can withstand going over the middle in the NFL.

Will Davis, CB, Utah State – #17, 6’0, 190
Davis is athletic. He has very good speed and able to locate the ball. He is very good in the red zone due to his speed and ball skills. He still is raw due to lack of experience at a higher level. Committed to Western Washington (defunct program) then transferred to De Anza CC. He has the ability to become a returner as well in the NFL with a great ability to make big plays. His hands are always around the ball.
Jermaine Robinson, S, Toledo – #29, 6’3, 205
A strong safety who’s been up and down this season, Robinson shows great instincts in zone coverage and has the speed and aggressiveness to finish plays on the edge and have the ability to create turnovers and close down throwing windows. He takes good angles, and seems to diagnose the play well post-snap. While he struggles with consistency in his angles, struggles in man coverage, and sometimes shows hesitation in his decisions. Robinson will need to step up big (along with linebacker Dan Molls) in both short area coverage and as they contain Kerwynn Williams of Utah State.
