SMOOTHIE KING CENTER, NEW ORLEANS, LA — Stephen Curry‘s first foray as a Golden State Warriors All-Star started out cold, but he was assisting for other scores. It would pretty much stay that way all game. Check out our game recap.

PRE-GAME

As always, #DubNation was in high anticipation of this game, with an impressive graphic edit from @sportscenter, along with all the other All-Stars. Curry posted pregame photos on Twitter…

…as well as Facebook. It was exciting for Warriors fans to hear Curry’s name called as a starting during the extravagant player intros. Pharrell performed.

The Warriors posted this pregame clip of Stephen Curry hitting lefthanded treys during warmups.

It turned out that he was having fun with Kyrie Irving:

IN-GAME

As we mentioned, Curry started out cold. After the game, we asked if the sleeved jerseys had an effect on that. Here was his response:

However, Curry was on-point with his passing.

His over-the-backboard alley oop to Kevin Durant was referred to as “absurd” on Twitter. Meanwhile, he and Irving went at it. As it turned out, Irving would garner the MVP award.

Curry came out better in the 2nd half in terms of offensive output. He even did a reverse between-the-legs, splitting Dwyane Wade and LeBron James for a left-hand driving bucket.

POST-GAME

Postgame interview: “I made my last shot so that’s all that matters.”

He also said postgame that he needed to be “that voice”, when asked about his improvement going into the second half of the season. We’ll cover this in a separate forthcoming post.
