For every MLB team, there is always a good amount of roster turnover between one season and the next. No matter how closely you follow the offseason, this inevitably leads to a game in June or July where you have a “I didn’t realize [PLAYER] was on that team now” moment, which is usually accompanied by said player doing something that hurts your favorite club.
In an attempt to minimize these moments for Angels fans this season, I’ve created a quiz that asks you to identify the 2016 teams of numerous former Halos. It includes the 28 players who suited up for the club in 2015 and are no longer with the organization—that’s a lot!—as well as 14 other former Angels of note.
Some final thoughts: The quiz is a lot tougher than it looks at first glance; I created it and I’m still unsure about several guys. Keep in mind that some 2015 Angels might still be without new homes, and some might have changed hands more than once this winter. Most importantly, have fun!
