Last night the NHL released the roster for the 2015 NHL All-Star Game and Patrice Bergeron will be the Boston Bruins lone representative this year.
From the Bruins press release:
In 42 regular season games during the 2014-15 season, Bergeron notched 10 goals (second on the team) and 21 assists (first on the team) for 31 points (first on the team) with a plus-eight rating. Bergeron ranks second in the league in faceoff wins with 553 and second in face-off percentage with 59.3%
Good choice by the NHL and no surprise that the Bs are just getting one rep. They’ve been performing below par and no one’s been amazingly stellar on the team, except for maybe Bergeron and Dougie. But Bergeron’s always been a rock for the team and by far one of the hardest workers on and off the ice. He’s had a fantastic career so far and this is just another plume in his hat. Congrats, Bergy.
