2016 NBA Draft Big Board

With the draft just one day away, it’s as good a time as any to post my final big board for the 2016 NBA draft. After watching and reading about these guys a ton, this is my list of the best 30 players in the draft. Fit with the Sixers wasn’t taken into account. I thought it would be a silly excercise to just make a list of 30 guards, wings, and international players. This is simply a list of the 30 guys that I think will be the best NBA players. The big board not only takes into account potential, but how likely you are to reach that potential. For example, Skal Labissiere is a guy that I think could become a great player in this league but is not on my list. I just think the odds of him reaching that potential is so small that there isn’t any point in ranking him above guys that I feel certain can carve out an NBA role. This big board is essentially based on an expected value equation. If you want detailed notes on any of these guys, go back and read my position by position rankings. All 30 of these guys either got a full breakdown or a small explanation in the honorable mention section. Lastly, I made a last second change and decided to rank Paul Zipser ahead of Taurean Prince. I just worry about Prince coming from a zone defense in college and then trying to be a lockdown man to man guy in the NBA. We have seen plenty of players struggle in that kind of transition. I like Prince but there is inherently more risk with him as a prospect now, so he drops down. Without further ado, my big board.
