2016 NCAA Women’s Basketball Rankings – AP Poll – Preseason (Nov. 2)

The 2016 NCAA women’s basketball preseason rankings are out for the AP Poll and just like the Coaches Poll, the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team finds itself on top for the 11th time in the program’s history.

They are joined in the top five by the South Carolina Gamecocks, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tennessee Lady Vols and Baylor Lady Bears.

The USF Bulls are the only other team from the American Athletic Conference in the rankings. There are no teams from the American in the others receiving votes.

Note: Once the season starts, both polls will be published in the same post going forward.
