Stempniak, a former camp invite of the Bruins and Massachusetts native was acquired for a 2017 second round and 2016 fourth round pick. Stempniak is enjoying a bounce back campaign with 41 points in 63 games this year.

Liles, was acquired for 2016 third-round and a 2017 fifth round pick, along with forward prospect Anthony Camara. Liles has 15 points in 63 games, and will serve as a veteran presence on a Bruins defense that is 20th in Goals Allowed Average (GAA). Camara was a former third round pick of the Bruins, who has just five points in an injury riddled 33 game season. Camara adds to the youth movement in Carolina, and almost certainly will have a better chance of getting a call up in Carolina.
