General Notes:
-You generally want the QB’s size to be at least 9.5 inches (Bridgewater met that threshold barely two years ago). This year, every QB met that with the exception of Arkansas’s Brandon Allen (8.5 inches). Carson Wentz had the biggest with 10 inch hands
-Three players had over 35 inch arms: Texas Tech’s OT Le’Raven Clark (36 1/4), Baylor’s DE Shawn Oakman (35 1/8), and Virginia Tech’s DE Dadi Nicolas (35 1/4). UNI CB Deondre Hall had 34 3/4 inch arms, remarkably long.
-Michigan State WR Aaron Burbridge has 8 inch hands (along with UMass’s Tajae Sharpe). That’s frustratingly small for a WR, and could push both to the late rounds despite plus-film.
-Le’Raven Clark’s wingspan impresses for his LT upside, but at 312, he’s well built and not sloppy looking at all. Looks the part of a high end tackle prospect. We’ll see if he carries that to the field.
-Cody Kessler has big enough hands at 9 7/8 (again, hand size is a factor for NFL teams) but measured in at just over 6’1. Kevin Hogan, Jeff Driskel and Carson Wentz all over 6’3
-Southern Utah Miles Killebrew with one of the more impressive body types so far. At 6016, 218, he has plenty of supports on film to kick off a strong week
-Carl Nassib, DE, Penn State measured in at nearly 6’7, 273 pounds with 82 7/8 wingspan and a cut overall body type. Looked more impressive physically than Shawn Oakman.
-Navy’s FB/RB Chris Swain is coming from a option FB role in college, so he’ll need time before he’s ready. But at a cut 6’0, 249 pounds with 34 1/8 wingspan, he looks like a project work working with. Obvious Patriots connection too.
