1. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are in a position to take whichever player they prefer as they possess the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. On Wednesday, Minnesota had Ball work out for them.
Right now, mixed signals are coming from the T’Wolves organization regarding who they would like to take with the first pick. At times, it seems Minnesota doesn’t even want to use the pick — rather, they might want to trade back.
As the Timberwolves have multiple young stars on their squad, they would likely benefit from trading the first pick for a proven veteran to build around Karl Anthony-Towns and D’Angelo Russell. If Minnesota fails to find a trade suitor, though, there’s a good chance LaMelo Ball becomes the No. 1 pick.
