28. Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens.

You know, it seems almost fitting that the night after PK Subban slewfoots someone, the Bruins are coming into the Bell Centre to play the Canadiens. As much as I actually enjoy Subban's game, he's a piece of shit player. He really is. He's basically the defensive version of Brad Marchand. That's about as in-depth as I'm going to do with that argument because I don't feel like writing an entire post talking about the similarities between the two.

Instead, the Bruins are facing a pretty hot Montreal team. They beat New Jersey last night, but they needed a slewfoot to do it, and they are only 1 point behind Boston. The Bruins do have a few games in hand, but it doesn't mean anything if they can't grab two points tonight. Make no mistake about it – these games are two point games. You don't want to come away with the "loser point" from OT.

Montreal is 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and led by none other than Subban, who leads the team in points.

This is a game Boston needs to win. I know that there is no such thing as a must win game in December, especially in the early stages of December, but this is probably as close as it gets. Montreal basically came out of nowhere and it started in net with Carey Price. As much as I despise Price, he's been great lately.

Price is second in the league in save percentage at .937 (Rask is third at .935) and he's 12th in goals against average at 2.00. Those are pretty solid numbers and when you combine the fact that the Subban/Markov pairing are at the top of their game right now – they are going to be a tough team to beat.

Not that I don't think Boston can. Boston has the ability to push Montreal around because Montreal just isn't a tough team. I know, I used the term "tough", but it's true. They're like a sneaker full of baby poop tough.

It all comes back to Subban though. He's the villain here, much like Zdeno Chara will be booed out of the Bell everytime he touches the puck tonight. I'm sure Max Pacioretty will be looking to use the adamantium claws he was given after his "brutal and career threatening concussion" he suffered in 2011.
