With the Jared Goff era finally starting in Los Angeles, backup quarterback Case Keenum is left in a sticky situation. Goff looks to be the starter for years to come with a backup of Sean Mannion, as he too can learn the ropes and could turn himself into a potential starter in the future.

However, Keenum will be left out of the equation as he could become a starter for another team in the upcoming weeks. In fact, these three teams have the best shot of landing the Houston alumni for a cheap price.
New York Jets
The New York Jets quarterback situation is scary, as no one is getting the job done. Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick will be jettisoned; Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg aren’t ready.
Could Keenum be a QB filler until one of the rookies is ready to play like Goff? I’m not in love with it, but it does make sense.
Denver Broncos
Let’s face it, Trevor Siemian is a short-term band-aid, and he’ll be lucky to get this team to the playoffs. The Broncos were interested in Keenum during the preseason and have a good opportunity here to pull the trigger.
Cleveland Browns
Do I need a reason why? The Browns will always need a QB, and maybe Keenum could stir up the pot once more this season. Then again I don’t want to see Keenum waste his years in Cleveland.
*Knock On Wood* Let’s say the Jared Goff experiment does not go well, the Rams will have Mannion who has been waiting seems like for years. Sorry Keenum, I wish you the best.
