How do you like it?
I honestly put little if any thought into the visual layout of the site when I first launched it. I figured it would be the writing that brought people back, not bright lights and pretty colors. That seems pretentious now, but even if it is true, it’s certainly not a bad thing to have a visual style that’s easy on the eyes.
Some people were bent out of shape by the old banner image as well. I, again, paid no mind to it whatsoever. I simply stuck it there because it was a volleyball match, and because it was a free image. Apparently the stretching was quite bothersome to certain viewers. That sounds weird to me. I’m sure me saying it sounds weird sounds weird to you. And the fact that I never noticed nor cared must also sound weird. Weird weird weird 😛
And to be sure, I didn’t put a great deal of thought into this layout either. I simply chose another of WordPress’s pre-set themes, one which I thought visually pleasing and afforded a greater amount of room for a header image. This new one still had to be cropped a little, but not to the extent the other would have. It’s not stretched at all, and isn’t the blue backdrop also kind of pleasing? It works for me. I hope it works for you.
If you, like every human being in existence, fear change, fret not, I have no plans to change it again. But I think this was an upward move, don’t you? If not, by all means, let me know. I am committed to making The Net Set as visitor-friendly as possible!
