And a trip down memory lane! Ahh, this should be fun. I've been asked to fill in as PA voice for Western volleyball in this weekend's slate of matches. I wasn't planning on going, but this'll get me there 😀 Should be big fun. I wonder how I'll do.
And I really wonder what, if anything, I'll (even subconsciously) toss in that the 'new guy' (all fairness, he's been doing it 2+ years now) has done. Hopefully not too much 😛
The opponents are Saint Martin's University on Thursday, and that should be a piece-of-cake three set sweep, and Western Oregon University on Saturday. THAT should be a much more competitive match, and will certainly be no gimme. Western Oregon actually got more first-place votes than my dear sweet Vikings in the GNAC preseason poll (5 to 4), but it was WWU who had the higher point total and thus earned the mantel of preseason favorite. A big, big match to be sure! I'm sure I'll have something to say about it.
