They’re using the term “celebrity” pretty loosely nowadays, don’t you think?
Shamed baseball player (and famed manager of the Yuma Scorpions) Jose Canseco is set to square off against Tareq Salahi November 5 in a boxing match no one cares about.
But leave it to the “Celebrity Fight Night” promoters to help drum up some controversy.
According to Radar Online:
When the infamous pair met on Thursday, Salahi began the unusual news conference by holding up his iPhone and showing the audience a photo.
“After I found this picture of Jose and my wife taken about five years ago, I am ready to take this man down. I had no idea that my wife has been lying to me every single day of our lives,” he said.
Uh oh!
This, of course, led to an obviously staged confrontation between the former American League MVP and the former vintner Salahi.
And yeah, before you go and hit up the Googles…Salahi is the “notorious White House gatecrasher” whose wife just left him for Journey guitarist Neal Schon.
