Feathers Up
Though Justin Masterson was wild and walked 5 Chicago batters, the double play ball minimized the damage. Masterson got out of two rough innings after forcing White Sox hitters to ground into double plays. Masterson did not pitch a great game, giving up 6 hits, walking 5, and striking out just 3in his 6 innings of work. Masterson was, however, able to limit the White Sox to just 2 runs, keeping the Indians in the game.
The Indians came back from 3 runs down in the 8th inning to tie the game, thanks to a couple singles, a walk, and a Chicago error.
After tying the game in the 8th, the Indians sent Tribe reliever, Nick Hagadone, to pitch the 9th. Hagadone had a perfect 1-2-3 inning with 3 strike outs.
Feathers Down
Chris Perez was unable to keep the White Sox off the scoreboard in the 10th inning. He gave up a single, a triple, and 2 runs, giving him his first loss of the year.
