Last season, “The Big Unit” notched his 300th victory in an injury plagued season with the Giants. Overall, he went 8-6 with a 4.88 ERA.

For his career, the tall lefty compiled a 303-166 record and 4,875 strikeouts, good for second-most in baseball history behind Nolan Ryan’s 5,714.

In 2001, Johnson and his slider, “Mr. Snappy”, helped lead the Diamondbacks to their only World Series Championship.
