When I caught up and congratulated 2012 Hall of Very Good™ inductee Tommy John the other day, we specifically chose NOT to talk about his landmark 1974 surgery.Sure, it would have been nice to have discussed the 164 wins the man had POST Tommy John surgery…but that would have seemed cliché.
