One of my favorite things to see the Pirates do after their chances of making the playoffs is mostly torpedoed is ending the playoff hopes of teams I don’t personally like. Jim Tracy is my least favorite Pirate manager of all-time and possibly my second-least favorite manager in all of baseball right now, so adding to his team’s woes and sweeping them at home would be an awesome result.
First pitch today is at 3:10. The struggling Ubaldo Jiminez looks to get himself back on line against the Pirates, something good pitchers excel at, while the Pirates counter with Paul Maholm. No time for a Clemente/Cangelosi scoreboard update today, but make your picks and I’ll have a double update tomorrow.
