Kansas City Royals fans just can’t seem to catch a break, can they?
Considering they having made the playoffs since the midpoint of the Reagan Administration, you’d think the Royals would take it a little easier on their fan, er, fans.
Thursday morning, the team sent out an email giving their faithful the opportunity to purchase tickets for Opening Day. The subject line of the email…”Your Royals Opening Day Ticket Opportunity”. Too good to be true, right?
Seriously, imagine your joy if, say, you were one of the thousands that is actually looking forward to seeing Billy Butler, Alex Gordon and the rest of the team continue its march toward mediocrity and this was the email you received.
Notice something a little out of place? I’ll wait while you read the email a little closer.
Yup. The email clearly states that your “Opening Day Ticket Opportunity” is limited to purchasing tickets to any game except, well…Opening Day.
Pretty sneaky, guys.
Kansas City Royals baseball fever…catch it! Except, well, you can’t unless, I mean…hey, we’ve got tickets for the other 80 games we’ll play at home.
