Homers: 30

Ground-Ball Rate: 50.7%

Fly-Ball Rate: 29.2%

Prior to 2018, David Peralta had never posted 20-plus homers in a season and only reached double digits on two different occasions. So of course, he now has a 30-homer campaign under his belt in what was his best offensive season since that 2015 breakout.

Peralta’s batted-ball profile hasn’t changed much on a year-to-year basis, but his quality of contact sure did this year. After never posting a hard-hit rate higher than 35.4% in a single season, that number jumped all the way up to 48.5%.

And when it comes to overall offensive production, he relied heavily on certain splits. He owned a .946 OPS and 150 wRC+ against right-handed hurlers, but those numbers dipped to .693 and 86, respectively, against southpaws. At home, he posted a .988 OPS and 160 wRC+, but they dropped to .750 and 100, respectively, on the road.
