As in Bowl of course, because the Bucs ended up winning the Vince Lombardi trophy that season. It was a close game, but Derrick Brooks started a trend of Bucs defenders returning turnovers for touchdowns. In what would become a habit all year, Brooks took back the first one 97 yards with 1 minute left in the game, a contest dominated by defense. The Bucs did not score an offensive TD, getting 3 Gramatica FGs, and a safety too. Thats 9 points put up by the D, which is all the Bucs needed as the defense shut out the Ravens 25-0. Here is the Brooks TD…notice how fast he is as he pulls away from everyone! Brooks was the 2002 defensive player of the year.
For good measure, the safety is the video of the day!
