GAME NOTES: If there’s a way to turn it around, tonight’s a good way. One run through seven from a starting pitcher, one through two from a reliever, with the offense exploding and the defense doing what it does. It’s going to take more than one good game to erase the stain of a five-game losing streak and utter inepitude since the All-Star Break, but … progress. Maybe the season’s not over yet, but we didn’t have to dip in the bullpen tonight – jury’s still out.
