82. Buffalo Sabres at Boston Bruins. Now That We've Come...To The End Of The Road

So here we are folks. The Bruins are finishing off the regular season against a team that was supposed to take the division, but instead won’t even be making the playoffs. This is a double edged “sabre” if you will for us here at Days of Y’Orr. We love the fact that Buffalo pooped all over their shoes and missed the playoffs. We love it because guys like Lindy Ruff and Patrick Kaleta don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. Ruff is a crybaby and has apparently passed his disease off to John Tortorella, who went apeshit Thursday night regarding a Brooks Orpik hit. Patrick Kaleta is a turtle, a coward and he fucks goats in their goat ass.

On the other hand, we have a soft spot for some GOOD Buffalo bloggers out there. No, not Garth, who we stumbled upon for the first time yesterday but other dudes like Phil from Blue & Black & Gold and Joe from Buffalo Wins who continually do good work and we’d love to have a chirping session with. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until next season.

So once again, this is a meaningless game before the playoffs begin. The schedule hasn’t been released as of this writing but I would guess that the Bruins will play on Thursday, April 12th because the Celtics are at home on the 11th, the official start of the playoffs. So lets peg Thursday as the start date. The Bruins are more than likely going to play Tim Thomas because he hasn’t dressed for a game in almost a week.

Expect other players to sit. Thomas, Bergeron and Chara sat out Thursday’s game against Ottawa so I would expect guys like McQuaid (who was banged up during the Senators game) and/or Lucic to grab a blow and sit the game out.

Who knows.

I wish I could be mad at the Sabres, but what can you say that hasn’t been said before? I guess I could shit all the team, but they missed the playoffs. Their fans, players and management will be watching other teams fight for something the owner promised when he bought the team. That’s the best troll move you can do. So fuck em, I hope Patrick Kaleta enjoys banging some goats in India.

You know what’s really pissing me off? These Nathan Horton people. Horton skated again yesterday for the second time in a week and people suddenly think that he’ll be back in round 2. What? Look, Horton has played a stitch of hockey since January, you really think it’s smart to put a guy into the playoffs when he’s not in game shape? We’re not talking about Rich Peverley missing 6 weeks and then playing the last two weeks of the season. We’re talking about a guy who has missed about 12 weeks and shoving him into the second round of the playoffs where you could face Florida or you could face Pittsburgh.

That’s what I want on the ice. A rust Nathan Horton skating against Pittsburgh’s top line. I’m sure Malkin wouldn’t dangle the shit out of Horton or Letang wouldn’t dive again. I’m sure they wouldn’t.

Stop thinking that Nathan Horton is going to play! How fucking dumb are you?
