GAME NOTES: The Crimson Hose start a four game set with the Pale Hose tonight. John Danks has had a rough August, allowing 17 ER in 19.1 innings over four starts. His control struggles on the road: his K/BB ratio is 3.25 at home and it dips down to 1.48 on the road. Beckett hopes to continue his lights-out August: in three starts this month he has allowed just 4 ER in 21 IP, having struck out 25 while walking just 3. So far this season the Red Sox have posted a .316 BA and .874 OPS against the White Sox, better than against any other AL team except for the Yankees.
