GAME NOTES: This is Curt Schilling’s first start since missing six weeks with shoulder tendinitis. His last start against the Angels, on April 15th, was his second-best start of the year (behind his one-hitter). He went 8 innings, allowed 0 ER and only five baserunners. The Red Sox ride the momentum of 12 wins in their last 16 games and a rare series victory in Seattle. Jered Weaver has allowed 6 ER in both of his last two starts, both against AL competitors (Detroit and Seattle).
