After the Hall of Fame announcement became public Monday, University of Miami freshman Shane Larkin did what most people…expressed his enthusiasm on Twitter.
The difference between him and the rest of us though…the newest member of the Hall of Fame, Barry Larkin, is Shane’s dad.
Yall dnt know how proud i am to be the son of a HOF’er! He worked so hard nd now it is all paying off! Love you Dad! Congrats
But here’s the cool thing.
Coming off the high of his dad making it into the Hall of Fame, the reserve guard hit the floor for the Miami Hurricanes the next night and, not only led the team in assists…but also matched a season high with six steals.
Sure, the ‘canes lost 73-56 against third-ranked North Carolina, but still…not a bad 30 hours for the Larkin family.
