9/13: Wake Returns PRIOR GAME AGAINST OPPONENT: Red Sox 6, Oakland 5 on 8/28/06
DECISION: W: Craig Hansen | L: Daniel Cabrera | S: Javier Lopez
STAR OF THE GAME: Coc Crisp – 2-4, R, 3 RBI, 2B

GAME NOTES: Better late than never, as the Sox keep getting healthier: Tim Wakefield makes his return to a major league mound tonight, looking for a series win and the Sox first 3-game win streak since… the last time we played the Orioles.
Also, a special note: the Atlanta Braves were eliminated from the postseason for the first time since 1990, the longest division-winning streak in MLB history. Though I’m still not wild about that club – and never really have been – what they’ve been able to accomplish is extraordinary, and should be honored.
