Player of the Game

I think it’s pretty clear by now that last season was no fluke for Carlos Carrasco. Yeah, we all figured that out a long time ago but he’s been phenomenal this season and it appears he will be so for a long time to come.

Feathers Up

The Indians got off to a quick start with a deep bomb from the most unlikely of hitters. In the 1st Jose Ramirez sent a 400′ shot to the right center field seats to give the Tribe an early lead. Not wanting to be outdone, Abraham Almonte launched a two-run shot of his own in the second inning to put the Indians up 3-0. Home runs continued to be the story of the offense tonight as Roberto Perez launched a two-run home run of his own in the 7th inning to make it 5-0.

Carlos Carrasco was pretty solid tonight, in fact, he was darn near un-hittable. Cookie pitched 6.1 innings before surrendering his first hit of the game, and for what seems like the 10th time this year the Indians’ rotation came pretty close to a no-hitter. Most of Carlos’ outs tonight came by way of the whiff, on his way to a one-hitter, Carrasco struck out a career high 15 batters. On the season Carrasco has notched over 200 strikeouts on the year.

Feathers Down

The Indians for the second straight night were pretty dominant and tonight they were nearly perfect at all facets of the game this may have been the most dominant performance by the Tribe all year.
