Every so often when doing these countdowns, you come across a number that is particularly easy to do. As it turns out, today is one of those days.
For that we can thank Cameron Heyward for choosing to wear #97.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Heyward is an unstoppable force at times who could have turned pro after last season but chose to stay in school for one more go around. And what a go around it could be. Heyward will almost certainly be a captain on defense in 2010, and is a contender for some serious post season hardware.
The key for him will be to take away the qualifier ‘at times’ and deliver his special brand of ass whooping that we have all learned to love every down in every game.

It is almost a shame that Heyward chose such a large number, because with highlights like that I don’t know if I can wait 97 days for the season to start.
Still, with school wrapping up and no one really caring about the NBA or soccer (or is that just me?), watching these highlights will be a nice way to kick off three months of daydreaming about football with a frequency that is almost certainly unhealthy.
At the very least, they can kick off the weekend for everyone.
