Proof: Alex Pietrangelo Injured, Refs Blow Call

Alex Pietrangelo Injured, Further Evaluation Sunday

St. Louis defenseman Alex Pietrangelo was injured in the second period when he was hit into the boards by LA’s Dwight King. The hit, seen above, bloodied Alex Pietrangelo and sent him off to the dressing room. King received a two-minute penalty despite the blood on Pietrangelo and despite the fact numerous similar hits have resulted in not only five-minute majors but also disciplinary action from the league. Pietrangelo is set to be evaluated on Sunday.

Wonder why St. Louis fans are outraged by the call? Examine the photo below. The officials stated that they awarded just a two-minute power play to the Blues because they “didn’t see blood on Pietrangelo”. Below is evidence from Rob Heaton that blows this theory out of the water, proving the officials were staring directly at Pietrangelo with blood clearly on the defenseman.
