A-10 Tournament Quarterfinal Game 2: The SJU Hawks lose

In the second game of the A-10 Tournament Quarterfinal, the St. Joseph’s Hawks fell to St. Bonaventure Bonnies 71-68. This game had many lead changes but the Bonnies eventually came out on top.


For the Bonnies, F Andrew Nicholson had a huge game with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. While, So. G Charlon Kloof had 19 points. Those two players were the majority scorers for St. Bonaventure.


For the Hawks, Jr. G Carl Jones led the way with 24 points and kept them in the game. So F Daryus Quarles had 10 points at the half and only added 2 more points in the second half to end the game with 12 points. So. F Halil Kanacevic, who was in foul trouble for most of the game, had 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Finally, So. F C.J. Aiken only took four shots and finished the game with 5 points. St. Joes finishes the regular and conference tournament season (20-13, 9-7 A 10) waiting to see if they will make the NIT.


Now, tomorrow at 1:00 pm, the No. 4 seed St. Bonaventure Bonnies will play the No. 8 seed UMass Minutemen in the A-10 Tournament Semifinals.
