A 2015 preview of the Titans schedule

Even though fans of the Tennessee Titans had to sit through a painful 2014 season with a 2-14 record, the feelings quickly switch to optimism as the Titans look to secure their quarterback of the future with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The idea of picking their next franchise quarterback is not set in stone, but it sure is tempting as the Titans had to watch a combination of an injury prone Jake Locker, Charlie Whitehurst and Zach Mettenberger.

The two names at the top of the quarterback prospect list is Florida State Heisman Trophy and National Championship winner Jameis Winston, and Oregon’s Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota.

As always, they have home and road games against each of their AFC South counterparts, the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. This season, the Titans will face teams from the AFC East, the NFC South, AFC South and AFC North.

The Titans are hosting the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Oakland Raiders and traveling to the New England Patriots, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns.

The Titans faithful can use Hipmunk.com to watch their team improve from their 2014 season. Hipmunk offers flights to Nashville from anywhere in the country and provides detailed information on things to do once in the city. In addition, you can reserve Nashville hotels for as little as $67 per night for those trying to enjoy a weekend in the Music City.

In Ken Whisenhunt’s first year as head coach, the Titans regressed from 2013 and tied the Buccaneers for the worst record in the NFL. But Whisenhunt has a history of turning a franchise around, as he was head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2007 to 2012 and led the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history during the 2008 season, as well as their first home playoff games in 60 years.
