Here are a few thoughts I had the other day which I thought I’d share with you.
Picture this scenario:
A big defensive tackle wreaks havoc on the line of scrmmage.
The cornerbacks jam Chad Ocho Cinco and T.J. Houshmandzadeh at the line. The pass rush on Carson Palmer is relentless. He’s sacked, knocked down or hurried all afternoon. Ocho Cinco and T.J. combine for just 66 yards on only four catches.
Bengals running back Chris Perry has no room to run.
The defense dominates the game.
The Cincinnati offense doesn’t score a single touchdown. Their total yards are the lowest in eight years.
Sounds like Fisherball, right? The kind of game Jeff Fisher loves.
Actually, all of that happened last week. It was Baltimore’s defense that shut down the Bengals.
I wonder how much of the same we’ll see from the Titans’ defense tomorrow.
