Somehow that team on the ice that calls themselves the Coyotes eked out a point last night. And I may have made a deal with the devil, also known as Jovo.
So what did I do exactly? Well, I can’t remember it all in details but first it was if we can get one goal, I will not make fun of Jovo for the rest of the game. So then Kyle Turris scores a goal. And oh my, were we all excited. Then I start saying that oh we can get two more goals in 4 minutes. We’ve done it before. And what happens? Turris and Uppy happen. So for the entire 3rd period pretty much, I was not allowed to make fun of Jovo. And I did it. It was all for my team.
I am a complete homer but I will say, we did not deserve that point. Where was the team that beat the Kings on Thursday? We looked like crap until about the last 10 minutes of the game.
Of course we had the handful of guys that showed up for three periods but without all the guys playing, it doesn’t matter. Hockey is a team sport. You can’t win with just one guy. Uppy is one of those guys that gives it his all every time he is on the ice. Turris was working hard out there. Fiddy and Belanger were doing all the little things right. Biz was working his ass off. He was skating hard. He did his thing in the second, rallied the crowd and the guys but it only lasted about as long as his fighting major. Biz was awesome. He had some great punches, especially the last uppercut that took Harrison down. It was obvious who won that fight.
Who the hell is this Ebbett guy? Where did he go to last night? Oh, he was on the ice? You could have fooled me. I think Fiddy should have gotten the C instead of Special Ed (the games over, I can make fun of him again). Jovo is not worth the money he is being paid nor does he really seem to have great leadership on the ice. Maybe I am spoiled by Doan but I can’t wait until that C is gone from Jovo. If Jovo could play like a 4-6 million dollar man, I would not be making fun of him so much.
I was so proud of Turris tonight. Hopefully this gives his confidence a boost and he just goes on a tear. I know he has it in him to be great. You can see it on the ice but he isn’t quite there yet. Hopefully this game has shown him that he can dominate this league.
Well, that is about all I have to say about last night.
Apparently I am on the one day a week blog right now so short recap on whats happened since the last post:
- Lost in Anaheim 3-2
- Won at home against LA 4-2
- Shane Doan was suspended for 3 games
- Sami and Pru were healthy scratches the last two games
- Hanzal is out with an injury (I think 2-3 weeks last I heard)
