Figuring out who will still be available at 27 is as big of a guessing game as the lottery, but that doesn’t stop everyone and their grandparents from posting a mock NFL draft on the internet. I am guilty of it too. Because the Saints pick so deep in the first round there isn’t much of a consensus specifically because availability changes so much with each mock. I did want to at least poll several mocks and see who was coming up more frequently, though. Here are some to consider:
NESN.com has the Saints taking Ohio State cornerback Bradley Roby.
Pete Prisco of CBS has the Saints taking Auburn defensive end Dee Ford.
I’ll spare you the 27 clicks on Bleacher Report, they have OLB Kyle Van Noy of BYU going to the Saints.
WalterFootball.com: Dee Ford.
Other CBS reporters:
Rob Rang has Saints taking Alabama ILB C. J. Mosley
Dane Bulger: Demarcus Lawrence, DE, Boise State
Pat Kirwan: Dee Ford
Will Brinson: Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Daniel Jeremiah: Marqise Lee, WR, USC
Bucky Brooks: Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon St.
Charles Davis: Kyle Fuller
Mike Huguenin: Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri
Ourlads.com: C. J. Mosley
NFLdraftgeek: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
Don Banks of SI: C. J. Mosley
A lot of defensive players, especially Ford and Mosley.
